Description: 

This course is designed to be the initial upland hardwood short course with additional courses each year that will examine other aspects of up-land hardwood management. The concepts pre-sented at this course are designed to assist and guide the regeneration of high valued oak stands on upland sites. Topics covered will include:  Decision Model for Upland Hardwoods, Species/Site Relationships, Approach to Degraded Stands, Regeneration Systems, Wildlife Components, and Sustainability of oaks on upland sites.
